Away Out Over Everything

These photographs showcase Washington State's Olympic Peninsula: the Pacific Coast, rain forests, river valleys that support those forests, and the Elwha River. The essay describes development in the west, the attitudes toward water use, and the laws that this use was based on, and it looks at the ways in which times have changed.
