Poverty Reform in Canada, 1958-1978

This study examines the two social security programmes that were introduced in Canada in 1966 and 1973. It also addresses a central theoretical concern in the contemporary study of public policy - the dichotomy between society-centred and state-centred perspectives on the modern state.
