Permissiveness in Child Rearing and Education

This book takes the point of view that permissiveness in child rearing is necessary and appropriate for the infant, but as the child becomes more independent and contacts the world on his/her own terms, the doctrine becomes weak and ineffectual while parental guidance and supervision becomes increasingly important.
