Ferishta's History of Dekkan, from the First Mahummedan Conquests

Published in 1794, this is a two-volume history of the Islamic kingdoms of southern India based around translations by orientalist Jonathan Scott (1753-1829). Volume 2 covers the expansion of the Mughal empire, its decline and the foundation of independent kingdoms, concluding with a history of Bengal.
