Flora Indica

First published in 1855, and compiled by the botanist and explorer Joseph Hooker and Thomas Thomson, this catalogue of the flora of the Indian subcontinent was the first major study of plant life of the area, and is considered to be one of Hooker's most important statements on biogeographical issues.
