Imagining the End of Life in Post-enlightenment Poetry

Studies the conception of one's own death, by examining the work of some of the most important poets of the last two centuries. This book identifies and analyzes three major modes of literary response to the shifting sensibility that developed in successive waves during the nineteenth and twentieth centuries.
