Poetry Book for Boys and Girls

First published in 1933 in three sections, as the second edition of a 1927 original, this book was created to provide children from seven to eleven years of age with an introduction to a broad range of poetry. At the time of publication, the selection was notable for containing a high proportion of works by contemporary writers, together with numerous old favourites.
